Let's celebrate Fisherman Day in Sakhalin!

Unusually, the Sakhalin boasts practically all known types of thermal and mineral waters. There are eight types of mineral waters worldwide, and six of them are in Sakhalin Island!

Kuksu perhaps the most famous Korean dish on Sakhalin. Everyone who has ever been on the Island are familiar with Kuksu.

Kimchitighe - one of the most popular dishes among the Sakhalin Koreans. This soup of Chinese cabbage (kimchi), meat and tofu. Method of preparation of this dish can be counted a couple of dozen, that's for sure.

Contestants from the Island of Sakhalin participating in the second All-Russian festival and contest of tourist videos 'Miracle of Russia', taking place earlier this year in Moscow, offered a worthy entry, featuring visually rich footage of the island, located in the Russian Far East and situated in the North Pacific Ocean.

New builded resorts are restored for new generation of visitors.

The waters around this oil and gas-rich island in Russia’s Far East are blessed with an abundance of marine life. August is a great month to spot western gray whales and northern fur seals, to camp near warm lakes and lagoons, and indulge in water sports.

A fur seal from the Far Eastern Russian island of Sakhalin has captured the hearts of the Russian nation after forcing a few fisherman to drive him around on their boat for eight hours straight.

A mysterious sea creature, with a furry tail and long dolphin-like beak, has marine experts scratching their heads after it washed up on the shore of Russia’s Sakhalin Island.

These incredible eye-catching snapshots show a stunning mud volcano which looks like a giant human eye when captured from the sky.

From high above, the centre of the volcano looks like the pupil, surrounded by a muddy brown iris.

The rare phenomenon was caught on camera on the Sakhalin Island, East Russia, at the Pugachevskiy mud volcano.

Rolls came to Korea from Japan, but the Korean version has its own national characteristics.
